Glorious News!
I, Sir Syllah de las Sombras, and the IronRaven, Sir Benjamin Connoly, didst today with loud and glorious acclaim lay seige to, storm, and conquer the Castle Dunlap at great danger to our persons and with unparallelled sucess! The Fools who had until recently occupied those environs had left the portucullis wide open, and the battlements ungaurded. Their ignorance even went so far as to have caused them to block up the arrow slots where normally deft archers would have been stationed who, with thier sharp shafts, could have done much to impede our progress and inflict damage upon our mounts and persons. And so - after bravely sounding the charge we stormed through the castle gates and took possesion of the entire keep. (Huzzah!!!) Whereupon there was much rejoycing of the castle's formerly repressed inhabitants. Great speeches were made from the battlements, followed by much lively dancing and hymns of happiness, before everyone there present proceeded back to thier halls for a night of feasting and good cheer.

(or as I blurted out the story to DeadEnd...
My best friend Ben came over a few hours ago and i gave him his birthday present - which was GREAT.. and which he Loved! and which has made him love me even more (if that is possible)! Then we went out driving and ended up on Dunlap island. There's a park there with a reconstructed version of a voyageur/trading post fort (in fact I think it used to be the site of an American Fur company outpost). The place was deserted and as we pulled up Ben and I just looked into each other's eyes and KNEW what was coming next. *laughs* He looked at me and said in a low intent voice "They've left the portcullis open those Fools!!" and I said something back along the lines of "To battle then brave knight" and we hopped out of the car yelling "Charge!!!" and stormed the place.
Then we did a reverse Romeo and Juliet scene from the top of one of the towers, and skipped around the pentacle garden surrounding the flagpole (silly townspeople probably had no clue that they were making a fine pagan monument when they layed out that star and put a big pole in the middle of it *L*!!) and then climbed up on the stage and swingdanced for a while (well he swingdanced and taught and I learned and attempted) then we skipped across the field down to the river side to look at the HUGE fiberglass statue of a voyaguer .. and sang Tori Amos' "Happy Phantom" at the top of our lungs. It was Fabulous, dreamy, perfect!
