Hello my effervesant ferric
stay true and how is your love life?
Hello Lovely Heath,
I'm more or less staying true. my love life is busy though not very exciting. I've been taking home boys left and right but not getting nearly enough carnal enjoyment out of it. Its horrible. The one who turns me on most is.. a virgin. *shudders in frustration* Parts of me desperately want to deflower him as it would be SOooo enjoyable - and then other parts say "run for the hills girl - y'can't do that when you don't have honorable intentions !!(aka:loving him and keeping him, having a serious exclusive relationship etc.) What makes it even more complicated is that he was the first american boy to ask me to marry him.. way back in 1999 and I told him that he'd have to ask me again in 4 years when I finished college. 4 years from that day will be June 30th 2003.. which is rapidly approaching. So, there is this whole underlying potential seriousness involved as well. Its weird and kinda makes me nervous. After having my heart broken (for lack of a better term) in March I'm not too keen on settling down with ANYONE ANY time soon. Messy.
what is propaganda in the 21st century?
In my opinion propaganda in the 21st century is much the same as propaganda in any other century: Nationalistic fluff, race fear, you HAve to Have the newest tech device (as in cell phones, comps, etc.), thenthere is the whole "AI is good" type arguments. I dunno. I think it jsut comes at us in less obvious ways... movies, television. its so sinister beacause so many people beleive that we're immune to propaganda just because we fell for it before (WWII time). No one would Lie to us now - oh no, that couldn't possibly happen. *rolls my eyes*
What kind of a future is there for mankind?
Hard to say. It could be bleak or it could be just GREAT - the key thing i think is for people to remain critical and questioning about the things that corporations and governments try to feed down our throats, and to be concerned with preserving a heathy living environment. The germans (and europeans in general) definitely ahve a leg up on us as far as that is concerned. I think because the industrial revolution hit them so hard that they either HAD to change or were going to die out.
Do we really care about anything that is going to happen out of our lifetime?
I do. dunno about anyone else.
Can one change anything as a face among the masses?
yup, because when you think about it EVERYONE is just a face among the masses. THink about all the people who have ever lived. All the great leaders who today no one even remembers. And then think about all the great inventions which were invented by little faceless people like us, and yet have changed life as we know it. pretty impressive huh? despite anonymity you've got to stand for what you believe in - all real change starts with just one person, just one event.
Or are we all just apathetic hopeless romantics with somekind of warped self-centred veiw that the earth is flat and the universe revolves around us? or am i a little stoned? Something to think about anyway
