.
My life is magical. Just now, reading outside beneath the librarys fluted columns I had finished my cigarette, but was as yet unwilling to relinquish the tale. Two strangers walked up, smiling, their faces lit with up joy, and just a hint of mischevious mirth... and... they gave me a lovely bar of chocolate(!). It was obsurd and wonderful and silly and fun and beautiful all at once. Chocolove. How is it that these soft random miracles keep happening to me? I'm greatful for them and almost wary of them at the same time. It like all of my saved up good karma is suddenly being redeemed at once- without my volition or any sort of conscious prayer. What happens then when it suddenly runs out? Better not to think of that perhaps. Better just to trust and love and take my joy in the moment. --- There's even a poem printed inside the wrapper:
"Who will in the fairest book of Nature know
How virtue may best lodged in beauty be,
Let him but learn of Love to read in thee,
Stella, those fair lines, which true goodness show.
There shall he find all vices' overthrow,
Not by rude force, but sweetest soveriegnity
Of reason, from whose light those night-birds fly;
That inward sun in thine eyes shineth so.
And not content to be Perfection's heir
Thyself, dost strive all minds that way to move,
Who mark in thee what is in thee most fair.
So while thy beauty draws the heart to love,
As fast thy Virtue bends that love to good;
'But, ah,' Desire still cries, 'give me some food.'"
