Rumble at the Coffee House. SO i'm supposed to be working on the funny post that I started on Friday Sunday one of thoe days but really I've been reading other peoples blogs and soaking up the atmosphere here @ java today. You see yesterday one of the new regulars here came up the the counter and asked my friend Josh (an old roommate, former manager of Java, & now a barrista) if everyone here hated him. Now, dont get me wrong this guy is somewhat annoying - but in a naieve he means well but just doesn't undestand proper etiquette sort of way. For example waiting until the espresso machine is cleaned and turned off to request his last mocha every night, Letting his cell phone ring for 10 minutes rather than answering it or turing off the ringer, - Just little gosh annoying things, but He spends like 150$ at java every week. Now don't get me wrong, money doesn't make up for everything but its good when you are a small buisness & this guy isn't malicious or pompous or anything like that, just socially obtuse. Josh is at heart a knight & when this happened it was like the straw that broke the camel's back.

(You see the new manager of the place, and one of the other barrista's like to make fun of people. Mercilessly. When other people can overhear them. Java gets some seriously weird and annoying customers & its their way of blowing off steam - but there is no excuse for them to be doing it in front of customers, very mean and very bad for buisness)

So Josh, having had enough of the bullshit, took his manger in the back room and gave him an earful & said manager called the owner and gave him an earful, & now they are having a staff meeting @ 1:30 today. High comedy for my sick and twisted self. I like everyone concerned (except mr. manager) but its time for the bullshit to end. Plus its really funny watching the entire staff sulk around and pretend that nothing is wrong.
